We are looking for a dynamic and creative Project Worker who is willing to help change people’s perceptions about disability.
Are you enthusiastic about positively changing the way people with disabilities are viewed?
Can you promote ways in which people with disabilities can make a positive contribution?
Do you have the ability to work with a range of different people of different ages and abilities?
Do you believe that you can make a difference to the way people think, improve perceptions towards disability?
“Perceptions” will look at the way disability is perceived by people and will actively seek to change the way that people think.
Perceptions will be managed by Sunderland People First and Autism-in-Mind. You will be working with both companies and your base will be split between both organisations. Perceptions will be delivered in Hendon and Ryhope over a 12-month period. There are travel requirements attached to this post.
You will support a small team of people of varying abilities to deliver the project.
Salary: £17,000 per annum (one year fixed contract. 37 hours per week)
