The learning disability partnership is made up of people with learning disabilities and their families, Professionals involved in healthcare, housing, and employment for people with learning disabilities and autism, and Adult Learning Disability services.

Sharon Bell, Advocate, Sunderland People First is co-chair of the partnership board.


The aims of the partnership board are to make sure that people with a learning disability:

have the information they want or need

Can be fully included in the planning and development of the services they want or need.

have good access to healthcare and healthcare information

have choices about where they live

have improved chances to work
