There remain a number of barriers and obstacles faced by disabled people today, including access to transport, education and employment support or appropriate healthcare. Sheffield University alongside Crook Fellows, including Sunderland People First and Inclusion North are looking at the barriers faced by people regarding housing, and democracy.
