Coronavirus has been a very difficult time for everyone. Many people have experienced isolation.
Since lockdown in March, Sunderland People First have been looking at different ways to keep people connected. We received funding from Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group to enable us to keep in touch with people online. We have been using Twitter and Facebook to update people on important changes in the UK and in our region.
We have been using an online programme called Zoom to get together with people, meeting through video online -and inviting people with a learning disability and/or autism to take part in discussions, meetings, quizzes and other social activities.
We hold our Keeping People Connected sessions, three times a week. If you are interested in being involved please click on this link which will let you know how to get in touch with us.
Alternatively, you can get in touch with us by email – [email protected]
